Chekameh — Persian Poetry Map¶
Chekameh is an interactive map and timeline of Persian poetry, tracing poets and literary centers across six historical eras, from the Samanid period (875 CE) to the end of the Safavid era (1736 CE).
Explore where poets such as Rudaki, Ferdowsi, Rumi, and Hafez lived and worked, see how literary centers shifted across the Persian cultural sphere over time, and ask the built-in chatbot about poets, poems, and historical context.
